I think the WWE will end up like ECW did and go broke in the next ten years or sometime in between. Don't get it twisted i've been a WWE fan since i was about 5 but hear me out, look back in the Attitude era and in the early 2000's and look at it now, it was way better back in the day. The storylines, the wrestlers, the matches, everything was exciting. I watched RAW and Smackdown every week. Now, the storylines are crap and almost half of the wrestlers from back then either went to TNA or some other company or went to pursue another career. The only wrestlers i seen now is Farooq but he appears only once and says DAMN and Stone Cold whose refereeing at Wrestlemania. I barely even keep up with RAW or Smackdown anymore because it's boring now. What ya'll think?

your entitiled to ur opinon.
i think ur wrong.the atittude era was all about rivally wcw and it WORKED!! u have to look at certain aspect like:
the superstars back then are older now and the thing what happened to owen hart changed things
I WILL AGREE and say the storylines arent good. its been well documented that the extreme element of wwe has gone. u dont see jeff hardy flying about like how he did back then i think more mistakes are happening like shetlon benjamin couple of weeks ago where he ealy broke his neck.
wwe is building for the future. losing stars like THE ROCK STONE COLD KURT ANGLE MICK FOLEY NOT TO MENTION THE UNDERTAKER IN THE NEXT YEAR OR 2 is like losing your big players in your football team.
u need time to rebuild!!!!
wwe has financial backbone which ecw and wcw didnt have. TNA is getting rave reviews from fans(personally i havent seen one match)
i am sure that in the next year or 2 you will see wwe back to a certain level where fans will be happy has TNA is the next challengers to wwe wrestling crown

I don't think WWE will go broke in even the next 10 years. They still have a massive fanbase and are global. And the only reason it was better back in the Attitude Era was because they actually had competition. Now the only competition they have is TNA, and they are still, by a wide margin, ahead of TNA. The gap between Vince and his fan's interests are growing further and further apart and it's becoming more evident. Also they treat a lot of wrestlers with little respect. I can only hope that WWE finds competition before they disgrace the whole business entirely.

I don't think it will go broke. Vince's ego is way to big to let that happen. I have been watching 20+ years too and I agree I like the attitude era better. Some of the storylines now are crap as you say. Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Undertaker are still around although Triple H has been injured this year but will be back soon.
But I still watch it. Think they are just bringing in new guys to give them a career in wrestling. Give it a shot, you might be impressed with some of the guys now. Never know.

I have to agree with you on a few things. Also like you I have grown more and more disinterested in wrestling altogether. I have always asked myself if wrestling has gotten lame now or is it that I'm getting too old for wrestling (I hope not). I have not watched raw or smackdown in the longest and I used to watch all the time, but that was a few years back when me and my friends got together, grabbed a beer and watched and discussed it. Now most of my friends are married and I have children. Sometimes I just do not have time to watch it.
There are a few things (in my opinion) that has hurt wrestling, I won't get into all of them now but I think the main thing is WCW going out of business. Its been a while since WWE has had decent competition, so naturally they have begun to slack off. Just think of all the wrestlers that wouldn't be caught dead wrestling for McMahon if they had a choice. I'll disagree with one thing, I don't think WWE will go out of business. Hopefully TNA will get better and it will force the WWE to get better, hopefully.

I like them both. I just wish Stone Cold Was still wrestling! I dont think that WWE is boring. Stone Cold used to be there to stir things up and make them more exciting. But i like WWE the way it is now so. I think WWE will still be going in the future, it has been getting high ratings and the shows are sold out. I think Cena is a good Champ he is better then Orton would be.

There is NO way they are going to go broke anytime soon. The ratings are still better then most shows and the PPVs are still up there. One of the high points of Pro Wrestling is the Hogan Era, from about 85-91. That's 6 years. From 91-96, we hit a low. That's 5 years. From 96-01 we were on a high. That's another 5 years. From 01-present, we're on another low, 6 years. My guess is within the next 18-24 months we should start to see a rise in wrestling and enjoy another boom period. The similarities are strange (another steroids allegation), but it also depends on TNA and their ability to continue to get better and bigger.

I think it will still be around, there is a huge fan base, and they are pretty loyal!!Wrestling has it's share of ups and downs, right now it's somewhere in the middle!Even tho Vince is an asss,he's still a very clever man,and he will get it back to a higher level!!
