Ive been in your situation before. I know this dude online, and like after one week later, we exchanged phone numbers and talked on phone. He calls me a lot when we first knew each other. Then weeks after, he doesnt call me as much. I felt like he was avoiding me. So, I called him and told him that I felt he was avoiding me. He told me that he wasnt avoiding me, he was just busy. I dont know if he's lying to me or not, but I guess its because since we have never met or really knew each other much at all, we have nothing to talk about when we do talk, which is why it seems he's avoiding me. So, what i do is just call him like every once in a month or so because whenever we talk too much, we will run out of things to talk about.

Anyway, in your case, its not because you're boring that he's avoiding you, its because you guys may not have things in common or a lot to talk to each other. It doesnt happen to every individaul who you talk to. It's our level of connection we have with that person that determines wheter they would talk nonstop with each other or be silent most of the times with each other. So dont worry its not only you with this problem.

I say ask him! On-line communicating can be tricky. If a person is very busy, sick, etc. then it can take time before they get back to you. So save yourself time and worry and ask him. It's not like he can see you get red faced.
