It's on AIM 6.0, and don't tell me to check the "help" section, because it doesn't really tell how! I need to delete my screen name because my computer is messed up and won't let me sign on or make a new one untill this old one is removed! Thanks...

Sweetie, I'm so sorry to tell you this but AIM has not tech support to help you delete your account and AOL doesn't delete AIM accounts...AOL AND AIM dont' let ANYONE DELETE ANYTHING!....EVER! Really this isn't a lie:(...I hate that I WASn'T able to delete my aim email also:(...well I hope you can delete it, but I've tried for more than three years now, and i've just given up!

I have it so many times that I finally gave up and deleted the aim off of my control panel (add/remove) and then went back to aim and downloaded the version again and started from scratch (i also told all of my contacts that i would be emailing them my new email also and not to use the old one) A very good friend told me that after an account has not be used by the person (and it may take up to a year ) that aol/aim will delete the username and all info. just do not log back on it if you decide to get a new one- have one of your friends in 6 months send a email to your old email address at aim and if it says "email info not found " you know aim/aol has deleted it b/c of non-usage! Hope that helps!

Contact aol. Tell them your situation and give them your user name and pass. I dont know if there is a way to delete it but they will be able to delete it.
