I am sorry about your cat BUT a class action suit will not make your cat better nor will it even get you any money. You will be lucky if you get the value of the pet food. Best case scenario – you get a coupon in the mail for $5 off your next bag of pet food. Worst case – the company goes bankrupt and you get $0. BUT the lawyers who work on the case will get their take. Lawyers and their democrat supporters have us thinking that this is a way to fight corporate America. It is, if you are a lawyer because then you get rich. Http://www.classaction-lawsuit.info/mesothelioma.html has details on what happened to the asbestos victim and how the lawyers got 40%. Good luck and best wishes for your cats health.

You find hundreds or thousands of people who have suffered the same harm by the same defendant for the same reason.

Then, you get a lawyer or law firm that handles class action suits, and file to certify a class that includes those other people. You need a lawyer because, while you can represent yourself, only a licensed attorney can represent others (including the above defined class of plaintiffs).

Then you proceed with the civil law suit, following the complex procedural rules for class actions, which is the other reason why you need a lawyer.

I am so sorry for you. This is a horrible thing that has happened and is reprehensible. There is no excuse for such lack of care. God bless you and your sweet little kitty.

You will be invited to join but don't . if you are part of the lawsuit and win you may get a coupon for another can of food and the lawyers will get rich -- but if you file a separate suit on your own you could get a substantial settlement.
