Nose Piercing help!!!?

I've had mine for 6 weeks now and still have a lot of dry skin around the piercing and it stays red. Is it safe to put makeup on it and if so do you remove the ring to put the makeup on or use a q-tip? Also, do you remove it to wash your face, I can't wait to do a self micro-dermabrasion to get rid of my dead skin cells!

Do not put any make up near your piercing area. That can cause irritation and possibly infection. Avoid any kind of chemicals even lotion and soap. I understand your urge to cleanse it completely but to prevent complications the best thign you can do is rinse the piercing with your aftercare solution and remove crusties of pus/blood gently with a q-tip or cotton ball. Taking out and putting back your piercing jewelry might also cause more irritation to the piercing that can cause swolleness. So try not to remove your piercing and wait a few months before you irritate the piercing.

Trust me on my advice, I've had a nose piercing for 2-3 years and I've had it infected for doing exactly what I am advising you to avoid.

i have my nose pierced & i didn`t remove my ring to apply/remove makeup, i just used a q-tip to do that...even now, with a total of 4 facial piercings, i never remove them...u eventually get used to doing your cleansing/makeup routines without having to take them out, it just takes some practice until u get used to it...i used makeup from the time my piercings were first done & didn`t have a problem, but i suggest making sure to clean the area thoroughly, especially after removing your makeup...

dont put makeup on your piercing cuz they are healing and really sensitive, make up wil make it dryer. im sure on this one
