Well, fairy tales aren't defined by love. They're defined by featuring such things as fairies, goblins, trolls, elves, giants, talking animals, witches, and enchantments. Fairy tales quite often have nothing to do with love, and can be pretty gruesome. Only since the late 1800's have fairy tales become all happy and cheerful and full of true love. In many earlier versions of Sleeping Beauty, for example, the prince becomes so overwhelmed with her ethereal beauty that he rapes the princess while she sleeps. And then he kisses her, she wakes up, and they get married to live happily ever after.

So do fairy tales exist in real life? That depends on whether you believe in fairy creatures.

I think what you really want to ask is, "Does true love exist?" and leave the fairy tale part out. Fairy tale love usually has something to do with some silly lad winning the king's first daughter and half of the kingdom by outwitting some foolish troll or something. Rarely are the princesses in fairy tales allowed to object if some wandering prince or knight wins her hand in marriage. Rarely does the fairy tale say that the princess loves the prince...usually they just get married and everyone assumes they're going to be happy even if they hardly know each other.

So...does true love exist? Maybe.

Absolutely! Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if your young at heart. For it's hard you'll find to be narrow of mind if your young at heart. you can go to extremes with impossible schemes, you can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams and life gets more exciting with each passing day.and love is either in your heart or on the way. don't you know that it's worth every treasure on earth, to be young at heart? rich as you are, it's much better by far to be young at heart. And if you should survive to a hundred and five, think of all you'll derive just by being alive! And here is the best part: you'll have a head start, if you are among the very young at heart....

Peace!

Just for books, I don't think true love for humans exists because of all our flaws.
