Well, according to your profile, you've only asked two questions besides this one. Both of them were clear and reasonable questions, and so were all of the answers which you received. There was one "joke" answer, but as far as I can tell it was on-topic and not at all insulting.
I can only assume that you're talking about the community here in general, to which my answer would be: Welcome to the Internet. There are idiots everywhere, but in real life you can only hear them screaming when you're near them, and eventually they get hoarse and have to stop. On the Internet, everyone can hear them scream... all the time.
(Additionally, the rating system here appears to reward every answer with two points, regardless of its relevance. Guess what the fastest way to accumulate points is.)

Its sad to say that most of the western public are indeed retarded.And most people don't understand anything past their nose.....but there is a few around that do have their crap wired tight together....so there is hope.
