my son cant stand the guy, he doesn't want to move, we have joint legal and joint residential with no home being listed as primary - she abducted him 5 years ago to her country and I stopped her with her courts forcing her to turn him over to me (long story) it will absolutely interrupt our visitation as I have alot 37.5% - she throws in "we are buying a nice house and E (the new guy) has worked in the same company for 14 years" she is asking to discuss a new parenting plan when for 3 years it has been nothing but denying me time, she has broken every agreement we every made, the distance is 2 hours away

that's a tough one. You stated you have been making 50K up until 6 months in the past. i'm assuming you're searching for artwork. i understand that's difficult in this economic equipment to discover a job, as is raising 3 teenage babies with now much less money than became coming in over 6 months in the past. i do no longer understand your ex or the relationship I even have, yet i'll think of which you have a particularly good relationship and it is not any longer out of spite that she desires to pass, purely for financial motives to have the extra appropriate paying activity. have you ever looked as though it might see if there are jobs obtainable for you the place they are going to be shifting to? that would intend to make you relocate in case you will come across a good paying activity there too. it is tough to tug the youngsters out of their primary college and from their friends and relatives, even with the undeniable fact that, in view which you're no longer at the instant working and can't grant financially for them, there extremely is not any different decision. enable them to pass in the event that they could and notice in case you will come across a job there too, that way you're nevertheless a huge impact of their lives, and that they have got convenience understanding which you're close to and not so some distance away and out of attain in the event that they like you.

You seem to have a pretty good grasp of the things to ask about, be sure you still have a visitation schedule in writing preferably court ordered. Be sure you have phone visitation time set aside as well. Have all contact info and school contact info. The school should be able to give you info on your kids progress. Make a photo album of you and your kids time together so they can see your picture when they miss you. Let your kids pick a book for you to keep so you can read to them over the phone. Good luck, I know long distance relationships can be hard for dad's and their kids.

What is the distance going to do to you and your children's relationship, do you believe it will be do more harm then good? Do any of the children need medical attention that can only be taken care of within the area that you reside? Will a major change in environment be to harsh for the children to adjust too?I live in Northern Ca, and I was only able to move within the 9 bay area counties, so you might catch a break on your children being able to move out of state?Good Luck

This is a hard thing for you. You don't have 100% control over your kids now and you're going to have to deal with those consequences and realize that she may do as she pleases in some areas without consulting you. Just be as caring as possible and try to work with her, not against her, for what's best for your children.
If you have joint custody, then she may not legally be able to do that anyway.

I would get the address and check the schools in the area and the crime rate. Find out how SHE plans to do visitation, and meeting their mothers new husband is a good idea. You should have a relationship with him if he is moving away with your kids.

I'm happy to hear you care about the well being of your kids. You can ask what ever you want to know, its your right as a parent. My sons father only calls to try to get me to lower his child support payment and has only seen him twice in his life (my son is 4 1/2). Good luck.

Strictly questions related to the kids. My biggest question would be, which court would u like to negotiate this in because I have a real problem with u taking my kids away from me.
Is that not a concern over anything else?

My number one question would be how often are you coming back here to see your children? Because she sure as heck isn't moving our daughter out of the area where all of her friends are and most of her family so my ex-wife can play house with her affair partner.
