First read the novels. What are they about?
Write a chart for each one: Characters, motivation, type of story (love, mystery, political, philosophical, etc) Style of writing, conclusions, anything you can think of...write it down for each one.
Now....what are the similarities? Compare them.
what are the differences? contrast them.

For example: in one story, the protagonist may be a woman. In the other the protagonist may be a man. That is a contrast. But yet their goal is the same in each book...perhaps they each have the goal of saving the family farm from ruin....that is a comparison.

Good luck.

here are some guidelines to go by...but first of all ask your self questions and write them down as if you were asking a friend which did you like better.was one a love story and the other a western ,how did the writer portray, funny sad etc think of when you ask someone about movies they have seen etc..the out line should be what you want to write about after you decide on the questions and what parts of the books you would like to use ...then go from there ,sometimes just getting started is the hard part good luck

Try www.dynamicbooks.net and surf around for a while, since the pages are all books. Maybe you'll get lucky and come up with a great pair to work on.
