The answer to this question will vary greatly depending on the culture. However, I did find this tidbit:

Meat in the 15th Century Wedding Feast:
In the 15th century, fowl was popular at feasts--and the goal was to try to get the bird to look as life-like as possible. The cooks would put all the feathers *back on* the bird, along with its head and such. The ability to make the bird ultimately look alive was considered culinary genius.

The food would probably depend on the country and whether or not the wedding was being held in a poor peasant village or in an aristocratic family. The site I've listed as a source is pretty good, because it not only names the foods, but gives the recipes. I hope that helps.

Nobles getting hitched eat: Roast pork, chicken, perhaps beef or fish depending on where you lived, lots of bread and vegetables, milk and beer or wine to drink

Peasants getting hooked up eat: Mainly bread and vegetables, porridge, etc. but for a special occassion like this - meat! And of course, milk and beer
