If we're hearing the truth, what's the big deal?

What exactly is holding Harriet and Karl up from swearing on the bible? I thought they were forthright, honest citizens.

The cannot be compelle to swear on the Bible. See Article VI of the Constitution.

But they can be compelled to testify under oath. Bush just doesn't think he's accountable to Congress and doesn't believe that his people are required to follow the laws.

It is all because Clinton was impeached for lying under oath and the Bush Administration doesn't want the same dish served to them that they served to Clinton. So the only way around it is to testify but not under oath so that way they can not be prosecuted for lying.

As far as Carolina is concerned......Scooter Libby was convicted of telling the world the name of an undercover C.I.A. agent because Bush was angry at her husband.

What were you thoughts when Clinton was impeached for lying under oath? I bet those procedures were well founded in your mind. But unfortunately, the pendulum swings both ways. It's not so fun on its way back to you is it.

If you had to be sworn in, you wouldn't want to be sworn in on the Koran or something if that wasn't the book you believed in. Maybe that's their trouble. Being an honest, forthright citizen doesn't mean you have to be Christian.

It is a democrat witch hunt. Just like Scooter Libby. He tried to tell the truth. He could have said he forgot or plead The 5th . But he tried to be honest. Look where it got him. Dem's are just trying to do anything they can to win in 2008. And you guys know they are just trying to get to Bush.
