i can't understand why people here ask so many questions about Putin. He is a real nice president, he is doing a lot of stuff for the country. At least, for the last 20 years, he is only one who does good for the country itself!

Because Putin cares about Russian people and he is honest and reliable man. He wants peace all over the would and friendship between nation. Putin respects all religions and people of all races.

Putin is popular cause maybe his drinking habits stopped long time ago, and people started to have respect for him. He decided to take care for Russia's problems. I think he is now, a good president, strong, devoted, and actually one who cares about the country and not himself.

Well, I guess it's all about his image - it's rather appealing to the Russian folk, who has always longed to be guided by a serious, strong and powerful leader. He is calm, reserved, but always sounds weighty. He looks like a real statesman and diplomat , especially when compared to the previous Russian leaders (Gorbatchev was a modest rag doll, Eltsin definitely looked like a clown). By the way it's obvious that Putin is slowly turning away from democracy nowadays and looks like aiming at going back to that "Allmighty Russian Empire" of the bygone days. But he gives one important thing to the folk - confidence, and that explains everything.

He is not as popular in Russia as in the polls :) There is a lot of opposition to him personally among Russians, but very Little open opposition from politicians/businessmen. Why? They don't want to end up like Hadorkovsky and Litvienko.

Because he's very assertive. And he's helping the economy of many cities, although he's hurting country settlers in return.

He is not lier....GOVERNMENT with liberals,centrel party and communists are lier...!!!!!PUTIN IS A GREAT MEN......HE SHOW him like a king on white horse wich show to russians that russians have the future.....WHO WAS Gorbochev???-ukranian cowboy?Who was Yelcin?-asian alcoholic-clown!....Who is Putin?-Mr president is the first reason for best future to Russia....he stoped war in Chechnya,when stoped corruption of government,generals and chechenian radical islamic group....JUST FOR 2 YEARS......He done our economy powerfuly.....may be its only oil and gas,but with him this richest recources money go to RUSSIA,but not like with Yelcin to USA and Europe......All russians love him,becouse we have no other leader in liberal party(Jirinovsky wich want to return Alaska),COMMUNISTS-wich will destroy us at all...Only he and some few mens can build our future.....with out wars and hungry deathes,gulags and murders....Thanks to Putin for our happy 7 years......
