Hate is a strong word for someone you don't know. Come on guys, give the kid a break. He seems like a sweet enough guy, and he doesn'[t seem to be arrogant or conceited. He is just a young guy and wants to make it. Yes he sucks...but he doesn't deserve that kind of treatment. It's not him that is ruining American Idol, it's the voters. He is just a contestant. I feel sorry for the poor guy. And yes. I was shocked that once again he wasn't eliminated and Stephanie was. But I think he is as shocked as everyone else every week.

Sammytoe is right! Everyone needs to back away from all this venom being directed toward Sanjaya. He seems to be a nice young kid who is trying his best. Granted the others in the competition are better singers but it is not his fault that so many people are voting for him. Sanjaya is not turning American Idol into a joke. The voters are, especially this moronic vote fortheworst site, which by the way is being promoted by the biggest joke in America, Howard Stern. Why anybody still listens to him is beyond me!

I don't hate Sanjaya...I dislike his singing very much and he needs to be eliminated soon...like a long time ago, especially during the RESULTS SHOW with A.J. Tabaldo. A.J., Sundance, and Stephanie deserve to still be IN and Sanjaya OUT. Many idol fans are saying that it's the people who vote who are at fault, not the Idol show and producers. And I totally agree. But, my gut-feeling tells me that Sanjaya is ON HIS WAY OUT THE DOOR. Why?? Because American Idol is not as REALITY-BASED as what we want it to be. Believe-it-or-not, it is still operating in a CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT, i.e., it is RIGGED, and the show will prevent Sanjaya from advancing too far, regardless of him receiving the MOST votes. Honestly, only the very best will ultimately remain...can we say...Lakisha, Melinda, and Jordan. Eventually, all the male singers will disappear, which is one of American Idol goals. This season is a women's competition! No doubt!

Sanjaya is turning American Idol into a joke. FIrst Simon Paula nd Randy should have sent him home with his sister. He wasnt good enough and certainly isnt good enough now. Because of him he sent Sabrina, Sundance home..my two favorites! There is this website called votfortheworst and all the members are voting for Sanjaya because hes the worst and to make matters worse, Howard Stern is promoting the website. Really, it is kind of his fault. He should back down he should realize HE DOESNT deserve to be there! He doesnt belong on American Idol he should step down and let the good people sing he ruins my Tuesday nights.

He's not turning American Idol into a joke, the people that are voting for him are turning American Idol into a joke.
The only reason he's still on the show is because there is a site called www.votefortheworst.com and all people that hate American Idol vote for the worst person in the competition, which is obviously Sanjaya.
The sad thing is the poor kid probably doesn't even know it. I take that back, he probably does since he's always surprised when he's back each week.

I can sum it up in two words - NOT MUCH
This year Idol is turning into a joke or everyone out there is tone deaf. There's only a handful of good singers there.

He is annoying. He does not belong there anymore cause he cannot sing as well as the others. How could Stephanie have gone home before him? He sucks!!!!!! Hopefully he will become the laughing stock once this is over. I would like to punch him in the face along with that girl that was crying for him Tuesday night.

I think it is turning into a big joke. The boy can not sing, and should have been x'd a long time ago.
I just don't get what is happening with the people voting. They are definitely not listening

Okay I will be honest. I think that he is cute. He has so many people supporting him that it's not even funny. He has Howard Stern rooting for him so Howard's listeners are behind him. The website votefortheworse is behind him. He has the young girls behind him that think he's cute so what can I say. The votes are what counts.
