Why do people want to vote the man into office and not respect the power they gave him....and technically it is not treason to talk down about the leaders in england, but if you went around saying the queen was a hooker or something like that, you would most likely be mugged. America needs to regain their sense of decency. This is why we arent respected as a country...We cant even respect ourselves.

Democrats do everything to down what the President has tried to accomplish. They will not work with him to solve problems. All they will do is whine

American have not had to put our but*s on the line personally for over a generation and have forgotten just how big and bad the world really is. Most of the youth are growing up into an uncertain future because their parents mortgaged their jobs for a cheap Hawaiian shirt made in India or China. I think that we have contempt for ourselves because we no longer have the courage to be a leader in the world.

America Still Rocks though

I know plenty of people who voted for mr. bush who don't respect him now. As I said, respect is earned and cannot be demanded. I don't care if he's the president of the world. Since he has instigated an immoral, horrific war that has caused literally thousands of deaths, I REFUSE to respect him.
I respect my country and the concepts it was founded on but this administration has lied, cheated and continues hide behind "executive privilege" in order to cover their butts.
Thank goodness this country still has freedom of speech. Respect cannot be mandated. It must be earned. And here's a news flash: Not everyone agrees that he was "elected" in an HONEST election.

The office deserves respect. Always.

The person who holds that office starts out as having the respect due to the office. But the person can lose the respect by betraying the office.

i'm sure that many people who did vote him into office have changed their minds about him. people are allowed to change their minds.

you talk about the decency of bush's detractors, i suggest you first look at the man you are defending.

The only reason someone would refuse to testify under oath is because they have something to hide!

I never voted the man into office.

He should earn the respect by being respectable!
