Hypothetical scenario: Last year of President Bush's presidency, so he decides he's going to have fun with it and see if he can get his approval rating down to absolute zero. I didn't know that our system of government was run by "polls" or approval ratings. Absolute zero is absolutely unlikely in any scenario. There was one legislator after Pearl Harbor that voted NO on the declaration of war. I doubt you can completely remove all the Presidential supporters for any act he may deem necessary.

Nothing. There are people who will support him because he's the decider and our leader. It doesn't matter how much damage he has caused or how many people have died, he'll still have supporters as long as people can't think for themselves.

I've actually heard Conservatives say he is "God's choice" so it's kind of hard to go against "God" when people think he has God's blessing...
it kind of reminds me of the old Roman empires who said they were born of God...
if anyone is saying that they are "of God" or "God's choice"... and people believe them... that really pretty much gives them a free ticket to do what ever they want to do...
it's hard to argue with God, no matter what the actions are...
