Continue by saying how you think about the situation: Should there be drug testing or not? and Why? Add reasons to back you up, and argue against other peoples opposing ideas.

I won't be mean, but I won't write it for you either...

Here are some tips:
Be sure that you understand that persuasive essays take only one side of the debate. Either choose the side that schools should drug test or that they shouldn't and don't say a THING about the other side of the debate. In persuasive essays, you only need to present the facts that help support your position.

Think about who would say yes or who would say no - don't just limit it to your opinion. Police? Parents? Students who use drugs? Students who do not? Administrators? The pharmacies that make the tests? Lawyers?

Good luck.

"While it is a good idea to test for drugs, the testing should be completely random or limited to those who appear to be or are suspected of being under the influence. This would save the school and the taxpayers money but still provide the same service of attempting to maintain a drug free school."

That should give you a pretty good start. Just expand from there and add your own opinions and you should be good.

if you are trying to be persuasive, don't say "few". also, support your statement with real life examples. im not really sure what side your on but i think saying your for it will be a stronger argument.

ex:
drug testing in school is an essential need because of
(body Paragraphs): sports, health, responsibilty

sports: drug testing will make sports more fair
health: drug testing will prevent teens/kids/(whatever) from harmful affects such as..._______
responsibility: as teens enter high school, they are given new responsibilities to take on-drugs abuse your freedoms and take away responsibility.

thats a starter i guess, good luck

You must begin a persuasive essay with a strong thesis statement. It must be immediately obvious what your opinion is. Then, support your reason with three examples that directly agree with your answer...then summarize with a paragraph that ties in to the first paragraph.

For example:
Drug testing in schools would never work.....
Reason one: the expense blah blah
Reason two: the invasion of privacy
Reason three: it would encourage delinquency and dropouts
Finally, let me sum up by blah blah blah...for these reasons blah blah.

Five paragraphs for your essay....done.
