Does this make me a bad person...?

The truth is I HATE children...and as a result I am going to get a vasectomy at age 18, and I currently got my hands on Depo Provera. Does that make me a bad person? Is it bad to hate children, I mean all they do is cry, and crap them selves, and piss me off ALL the time when I am around them! Is there anything positive at all?!?

Some people just feel this way.... I would recommend not getting a vasectomy so early, but if you really won't be persuaded not to, then it's your choice. You aren't a bad person, but hating children might get harder and harder to deal with in the future, whenever you have to be around them all you will be feeling is spite... That doesn't sound very satisfying... try to figure out what it is you don't like about them, and then just let that stuff go, yeah kids cry and crap, you did it yourself at one time. Good luck.

You are not a bad person. I know a lot of teens who can't stand children and don't want to have any. Children are noisy, messy, and very needy. And I think that is some strong motivation for teens to be responsible about sex, by either abstaining or by using birth control correctly and consistently.

As you mature, however, your feelings about children may change. For this reason, I would encourage you to keep your options open. Things may look different when you are 30.

We all have bad traits, mainly selfishness. Even the most "unselfish" are selfish only to a smaller degree than the norm.

Change is something none of us can prevent, one day for reasons known or unknown "you may love children" and be willing to die to have as many as you could get.

You are young, our thoughts change, everything changes, so don't be "too fast on the draw" on getting your nuts cut.

I have hated many things, now "to my surprise" I love them.

God loves children, He says so in the book.
We aren't to hate anyway, "especially" children, or is it that you would want to prevent another "you" ? Maybe you just have a nuerosis or something ? ...I did.

I'm glad you're getting yourself taken care of. The funny thing is, is that you will do the same stuff when you get older....(ie., cry, crap your pants, and generally piss off everyone around you) so what makes you think you're so special?

I dont think you're a "bad" person because you dont like children. I think many people dont like to be around children. You might want to wait on getting yourself cut though. Use caution and stay well prepared so you dont get anyone pregnant. But, who knows, maybe when your 35 years old you might want to have children. But no, you are a bad person just because you dont like being around kids.
