I mean any kind of nickname...shortening of your real name or just anything...My name is Rachael and I LOVE to be called Rach, but I have all sorts of nicknames, Raquel, Rach, Rachelle...I love to be called any of them...For those of you with them how did they come about and do you like it? Mine just kinda came, no specific reason, Raquel came from my spanish teacher and then one other kid calls me it, but that is all for that one and one of my other teachers call me Rach, which is my favorite, and then Rachelle just came because the shell sound is easier to say than chull, I guess....your turn...

I have so many nicknames I can't even tell you them. But there's a certain nickname I have that only my best of best friends can call me because it was made by my closest friend for 7 years and some people at school toss it around like it's nothing. Yeah, unless you know me really well, I'll get ticked off if you call me Mel-Mel.

Nicknames: Steph, Stephy, Steph-Steph, Step-on-me, Steffers, Stephonsky, Stephasaurus, Esteffania (the old hispanic lady down the street calls me that)
I do NOT like all of the nicknames - except Steph and Esteffania- those are the only two I like.
Everyone usually calls me Blondie, Steph, or Freddie (by my mom and very close friends)

Well my name is Nicole, and sometimes I get people calling me Nicolette (I don't know why they would call me that) but I hate that. I also hate when people call me Nick, (to me that is more of a boy name, not a girl name.) Although I love it when people call me Niki, that's awesome, I only like it when people refer to me as Nicole or Niki. I also have another nickname.. peanut butter, but we won't get into that one. :-)

Growing up, my mom always called me Sara Sunshine which came from her singing the song "You are my sunshine" with the phrase, "you make me happy when skies are grey". It always made me feel so warm to be able to make her happy, and bringing joy and happiness to others is my goal in life.
My husband's name is Jason and he likes it if I call him "Jacey" but when I hear that I think "JC" so I joke he wants me to think he's God/Jesus :) I tell him he's got a big head to think like that:)
