i got a ring that is one size too big. instead of taking it to a jeweler and getting it shrunk, is there another way to make it smaller?

No you cant make it smaller, but you can eat alot and get yourself chubby fingers that fit into it....ha ha!

Ah no! I work in a jewellery shop and all you can do is to take it to a jewellery shop and we chip off a bit and weld the two ends together. Dont worry it'll look spotless, you wont know the difference.

Yes yes. This year I got a promise ring from my boyfriend. Well its almost a size too big and I didn't want to get it sized because i don't want it ruined. You can get these plastic things that go on your ring to make it smaller. Walmart sells them for about $3. They are annoying when you first put them on but you will get used to it fast. They come in all different sizes and shapes for what ever you need.

If you like the ring and plan on wearing it for a long time then get is sized. It should be only $10- 15.00.

If not, you can purchase a Ring Sizer- a little metal piece that attachs inside the ring for under $5.00 - its not that comfy tho. Get it at the same place you would have a ringed sized.

tou can buy a little plastic band that you put around the ring to make it fit. It looks kind of funny. I got one when I bought a ring that was too big at Claire's. If it's a really nice ring i'd get it sized, but if it's cheap you can just put the band on it.

Well if you don't mind it looking a little tacky, you cna take some tape and trap it around the band until it fits. But if it's a nice piece of jewelry, i think the best thing to do it take it to a jeweler.

if its a cheaper metal you should be able to slightly bend it into a more elliptical shape to fit your finger. The only problem is that it looks goofy that way. I say take it in to the jeweller.

your ring will be broken if you do it at home

so best way: bring it to the Jewelry store or any where make/sell peircings. probably they can do it there!
