Christine Feehan (more para-normal romance than anything), Johanna Lindsey, Julie Garwood, Jude Devereaux, Judith McNaught, Catherine Coulter, Nora Roberts (highly recommend her's, though there are a lot to sort through to get to the historicals), Emma Holly (if you don't mind really racey), Fern Michaels, Maeve Binchy, Jane Austen (and a lot of the old classics, too).... There's been some great suggestions on places to go, I would say you check those out... also, try finding the author sites, sometimes you'll find a lot more there, and sometimes book are listed according to the particular era they are set in... somewhere for you to start! :)

Julie Garwood, Christina Dodd, Suzanne Enoch, Johanna Lindsey, Liz Carlyle, Julia Quinn, Judith McNaught, Amanda Quick...shall I keep going? Go to www.amazon.com and set up an account and then put in some of these names, Amazon will then make up a list of authors they think you might be interested in. Watch out some of these ladies write great contemporary stuff too, so read the backs!

If you are looking for a paperback, look at the top of the spine above the title, and it will say historical romance. If you are at a book store or library, this will narrow your search.
