I'm just wondering how old can your child be when you no longer have to sterilize their bottles.

Although everyone doesnt keep sterilizing bottles, it is recommended. I never went that route, I used playtex bottles that came with the disposable liners, I just boil the nipples every weekend. Its so much easier and it takes less time at night to fix a bottle!

I would double check with your pediatrician but I only sterilized my bottles before the first use...

Here's an article about it.

Preferably 8 to 12 month.
plastic bottle are porous and have air pockets in the material itself and the steam and the residue from other products gets stuck on the material and the material starts to absorb other flavors. because everything gets blended inside a dish washer through the water rinse, that way your bottle don't get in contact with other material while being cleaned.

I had no idea that; anyone except in emergency or deep woods without transportation sterilized anymore! But by 4mo. you can stop.

If you have a dishwasher, you don't need to. Just run them thru the hot cycle.
