I've been living with my boyfriend for 7 months and his mom lives with him meaning the house is under his name. I cant wait to save my money and move out. I feel like a prisoner here. First my car had been sitting in the driveway for a week and some how out of thin air I got a flat tire and my mother in law was the first one to know. I know one of them did it because my boyfriend’s hobby is working on cars and all his tools are only one foot away where my car is parked. He also once did something to my tire so I wont leave the house. I don’t think its fair I am paying for the trust issues they have because of what his ex caused.



My mother came over to the house for the second time so the moms can chitchat and get to know each other. The next day my bf tells me his mom said to him that my mother asked if whether my boyfriend owned the house.

You need to get out of that relationship NOW. He is what is commonly known as a 'momma's boy.' She probably does own the house, and even if she doesn't then she probably is paying his mortgage for him. He is a grown man is he not? Why can't he pay his own mortgage? Why is he living with his MOTHER!? Do you want to live with her the rest of your life? She runs his life! Do you want her to run yours and your childs? Girl, move out and away from them now. Give him visitation with the child and make him pay support, but don't marry him.

My first husband was a momma's boy and you have no idea what heartache you will be in for if you marry this guy! I thought my ex was responsible because at 18 he owned a car and worked fulltime. I did not know that his mother was taking his paycheck every week and paying his bills for him. After we married he insisted on handling the money, paying the bills, and that I stay home, no job, no school. He didn't pay the bills, couldn't keep a job, mishandled the money in every way possible. It was a mess. He didn't know how to be an adult because his mother always did everything for him. She was ALWAYS in our business and nosing into our personal relationship too.

The question is why are you living with these psychos? Anyone else that you could temporarily stay with would be better. Who cares who owns the house. You don't, so they won't change their ways.
