There is very little space in the apt. And the ironing board is small and attached to door.

why do you want to iron sheets? Take them out of the dryer as soon as they are dry and they shouldn't be wrinkled.

I keep a laundry basket on the floor to drape the ends into. Fold the sheet the long way and drape across the board. Press, move, press, move. Flip, repeat. Just a matter of preference. If you are in warmer climes, or in the summer, line drying will cure the wrinkling problem, make the sheets smell heavenly for days, and save on the energy bill (even if only a few pennies). Oh, and direct sunlight kills germs, so line drying is great for sick-room linens after colds or flu.

its the way you fold them that makes it easier to iron sheets . something i always had to do at home, but gave up doing long ago. you take the top and bottom hems thats the big hem to the small hem. then fold again to make a long length your sheets should be like a long rectangle by now . then you put them on your ironing board starting at one end and as you iron a section move the sheet along till theone side has been done. you then need to turn the sheets over and start again on the other side . once you have done that you can if you wish re-fold the sheets and do the middle bits.good luck.

haha are you BRITISH or really WELL TO DO? If you NEED to have iron sheets, take them to a place that does linen for hotels like hilton, they have flatwork ironers that basically pop out ironed sheets every 10 seconds. Otherwise invest in a miele dryer with moisture control.

Put them on the bed and iron them. Have you tried putting them in the dryer with a wet towel?? That will take out some of the wrinkles. There is also a product called Wrinker Remover. Good Luck

I agree with "dtwladyhawk". I too have put sheets on the bed to iron them. There are plenty of sheets that are not wrinkle free. To be honest, there is something comforting about putting my head on a lightly starched pillowcase. Instead of judging "bg s" try to understand why she (or he) wants to iron. What difference does it make to you?

I didn't realize anyone ironed sheets anymore.I gave that up yrs. ago but good for you.
I used to fold the sheets in four lengthwise and take it from there.Just keep flipping and ironing till you have all sides done.

why would you iron them? that's just a crazy waste of time. toss them in the dryer! you can avoid ironing a LOT of things just by tossing them in the dryer.
