Sergei Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 3 in d minor: I. Allegro ma non tanto. That's supposedly the 'unplayable', but there is SO much difficult piano repertoire out there.

Some the the 20th century composers (Gershwin, Ginastera, Ravel) have composed so VERY difficult pieces. Among the fast ones are Jeau Deux (M. Ravel) and Tribute to Aaron Copland (A. Ginastera).

Check out some of Chopin's stuff. Revoutionary Study and Black Keys are some really difficult pieces. Way beyond grade 8 standard. If you want something more romantic check out some of Rachmaninov's full scores. You can get easier, cut down scores about grade 7 standard but if you want something ultra hard try the full score. If there was such thing, it would be about Grade 13 Standard. Its that hard.

Rachmaninoff's etudes and concerts, some Chopin's etudes if you play them as you should (op.10 no.1 C-major, op.10 no 2 a-minor, op.10 no. 4 c sharp minor, ...), many works by Liszt (etudes, concerts, Hungarian rhapsodies, esp. no.2, etc)... As a matter of fact, every piece by every composer is hard if you want to play it properly, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy, you name it.
If you want something REALLY difficult for brain and fingers, try Ligetti's etudes. Now there's a brain twist...

NO, Für Elise is not hard, try something with a little backbone. To stick to the same type of music try Mozart's 'Turkish March', very fast and a little confusing at first. In my photo, to the left, that's what I was playing, perfectly, I might add.
