Cilest is a good pill, but all OCs have potential side effects, they are very individual and not predictable. For this reason it is not all that relevant to listen to what happens to others, there are bound to be those it did not suit and those who thought it was the best thing since sliced bread! It is all statistics. You will need to wait and see how it goes for you personally.

i was on celest and really liked it but my doctor took me off it and put me loestrin 30 because i suffer with migraines and the two together are a high stroke risk. I came off loestrin 30 for exactly the same reasons as you now..so providing you don't suffer with migraines that render you incapable of speech ( those are the ones that are not good with the pill) then i think you'll like it. It doesn't cause spots or weight gain as far as I know..but every girls different. good luck

cilest is a lower dose of pill - it is every bit as effective birth control but usually it has less side effects and is marginally safer. Of course there are risks with all contraceptive pills.

You can only try it and see how it suits. All combined oral contraceptives can increase chance of migraine if susceptable. Give it a few months to see if it suits, its relatively common to get breakthrough bleeding initially when change pills.
