You want to sue your employer but keep your job.....

You did not realize there would be ice under the snow? If people would not sue over everything then our insurance rates would not be crazy like they are.

Your employer may not even own that parking lot there fore not there problems. I bet you would not keep your job if you sued.
You did not break anything right? Why bother.....

In all provinces and undoubtedly most of the states. you can't be fired over a safety issue, and by the same token if you got hurt on a walkway at your employers business, you should see if you can reach an accomodation with them. It is bad business to sue if you like the job and didn't really get hurt.

oh good god what is it with people who want to sue over every little thing..if you suffered no lasting injuries what would you sue for..i highly doubt your job would still be yours..watch where you walk next time and make sure you have the correct footware on for the season

no. you can sue sure, but the employer doesnt have to keep you for any reason.

you could make them pay all your related medical bills through workman's compensation. but if you didnt get hurt, and thus have no bills, this wont work. also if you didnt get hurt, sueing wont get you anything.

You should have told your employer about it when you fell. They would send you to a doctor for workman's comp. Still tell them, you may long-term injuries. As for suing them, don't bother. We have no control over nature.

I would assume if you sucessfully sued your employer, they would not be very kind to you if your tried to come back.
