bothered to say so much as a simple "thanks" for giving them a BA to one of my questions. is it just me, or is that inconsiderate, in your OPINION?
there's a comment box just below the askers rating that you could do that in. sorry for sounding petty. i come from a different era, i guess.

it's no really big deal, but (to draw an analogy) even when i get paid, i thank someone for the check even though i EARNED it !

I try to always say Thanks for best answer. I just told one guy to tell the coin thanks, because he flipped a coin to get the BA. If it was won by voting, though, I let it pass....

Hmmm...you are right. I usually thanked people by giving them a thumbs up, now I sometimes star them, or leave a comment on their 360.
However you do have a point. I think people need to start being more grateful and considerate.
Well said.

If I get a best answer, I always send a message or thank them on the 360. But if they don't have it set to get e-mails or a 360 I let it go. I figure, I'm not sure they'd even notice a comment left..

I don't think I've ever thanked someone for giving me best answer.
I'll thank you, though, for bringing it to my mind. I'd like to have good manners.
Adding: There! I just now thanked the last person to give me Best Answer.

To take that one step farther....out of 44 answers to one of my questions, only 3 starred it. If they didn't think it was a good or interesting question, why did they bother to answer it? Ah well,I won't waste my energy wondering about any of this :o)

It's nothing personal, people just don't think say thanks all the time, I know I appreciate when people give me best answer, and I know everyone else does too.
