What would be better for a job? A public or a private university/college? I got accepted into a public university and a private college..the private college costs more than the public college..but the public college is out of state..so what should be better for me?

It really doesnt matter if its private or public, it comes down to the creditbility. Is the out of state college more prestigious in your major or vice versa? The con of private colleges is they cost more than public university, but then again, its smaller classes and better references when you go out to the real world.

You have to ask yourself, is the private college creditible? What is the class ratio for undergrad students and vice versa.

Hope I helped

Personally, i'm going to a private, because i think its much better for me. I get smaller classes and i get to converse with the professors more often than public schools like a UC. hope this helps

Private schools are way better than public ones as a general rule. But it really just depends on the schools you got into. Which ones are you talking about and how much is the difference in price. If its not a great school you are probably better off going to the cheaper one unless you think it will be covered by pell grants.

I would say look at what schools fit your needs the most. The look @ cost. I would lean towards a public school because I know plenty of my friends that will be paying their loans for forever b/c certain private schools are off the charts.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Which is more prestigious? By how much? Are you going on to grad school?

Those all play major factors.

Neither is inherently better than the other. It really depends on the particular schools you're comparing and the situation. Sometimes, the public is better. Sometimes, the private.
