Every day i see another question about mother in laws I personally get on great with mine, may be I have been lucky.? Does any one else actually have a decent mother in law?

I'm like you my mother in law is lovely too,and my hubby loves my mum too.
Other people however are not so lucky.....its a shame,like u i couldn't believe how many dont get on with theirs.
Maybe were the lucky ones.

You were lucky. I never realised how posessive and selfish my mother in law was until my wife became like her. Then we got divorced 5 years ago so I don't have one anymore.

The mom of my bf is a lovely person. We don't see each other very often, because she lives in another country. She's coming over for a visit soon and I'm actually looking forward to it.

I get on better with my mother in law than I do with my own mother.
I do butt heads with my mother in law, but we get on fine most of the time. we are very different, and we accept that, but we have common ground in that we both love her son (although in different ways)

I agree with you, we ARE lucky!!
I'd do anything for her and she knows she only has to ask and I'll be there.
