My pediatrician told me that that was an old wives' tale (pardon the expression.) People form allergies to foods like eggs, soy, shellfish, etc, not green beans and carrots and sweet potatoes. Unless you are feeding her a food such as strawberries (a semi-common allergy), or you have a family history of a certain allergy, it's not necessary to wait before starting a new food.

Yes, you should wait at least 3 days in between starting a new flavor. She could still have an allergic reaction and that way it will be easier to pin point what caused the reaction.

If you are giving her foods she has never had before then you need to wait the three days. She could have a food allergy and if you give her more than one new thing at a time you won't know exactly which food she has the allergy to.

If it's stuff they've had before just in a chunkier form, wait at least a day. If there's anything in it they've never had, wait the three.

Technically, I suppose you do but I didn't with either of my girls and they were fine. Now, if there is a history of food allergies on either side, I would be more cautious.

absolutely not...the purpose to waiting between diff. foods was b/c you were switching them between liquids to including solids...by now, their bellies are used to solids...
the only thing i would say is if your baby experiences some kind of allergic reaction, then i would have them eating only one food at a time so that you can figure out which one it is...
i had my daughter eating one jar of fruit and one jar of veggies in one meal by then...mostly b/c she ate so much and well, it gets expensive...LOL...but it never hurt her...
