It depends on what you are talking about here. If you get married, and divorces before marrying another person, it is perfectly legal for you to do that but, if you are married and is not divorced or you just abandoned your partner and went and married another person, you havve committed an offence in the eyes of the law known as bigamy. So, it is an offence to do that.

Most people with the divorce rate so high are married more than once. Most states allow up to 7 marriages in a lifetime.

If you are referring to marry the same person, you can marry and divorce them more than once.
