I am in my teens and although I don't know to much about programing I can design the looks of characters, story, background. Is there any company that i might be able to help them create a game either 1st or 3rd. I would want to work for either sony or Nintendo. That is all.

I know someone who used to work for Nintendo and now works for Sony as a game designer.

I would recommend you go to school, earn a computer science degree, do WELL in school, and retain (and continue to use/build upon) what you have learned.

You could attend a video game school, such as Digipen (Seattle area) if you are firm on video game design, or attend a regular 4 year university to keep your options open at the completion of your studies.

If you are doing well in school, you may earn an internship, and THEN you will be on your way. Like in any profession, hard work now will pay off in the future.

The designer I know recommends that you:

1) When you play games, look at them objectively, to begin to understand what elements within the game you like or dislike. Passion for gaming is required!

2) A designer has to be able to provide good documentation, which requires good writing skills.

3) Good oral communication skills, in order to explain your "vision".

4) Take courses in C+, C++, and C# to gain a basic understanding of programming.

5) Basic understanding of 3D art programs, such as Maya and 3D Studio Max.

6) Find any level editors for existing games, such as the Unreal editor, or begin working on mods. These will allow you to design and implement your own levels. You can then publish your levels, allowing others to play and comment on your levels.

Hope this helps...

Well first off, good luck trying to get a dream job as a video game programmer as there are not too many openings. Just because you can play a game in NO MEANS does this make u a programmer what so ever. You need to learn how to do regular programming first, preferribly in C++, Java and VB and even C#(the microsoft gaming language pretty much) You need to probably get a computer science degree as well as a TON of math. Then you just find a job and hope for the best. A game programmer might seem fun, but it takes a longgg time to make a successful game, as well as the salary for this position is on the lower side compared to an application engineer, but i do admit, youd get to brag to all your friends haha.

Go to art school to formalize and solidify your design skills, and learn programming. A number of my schoolmates at Savannah College of Art and Design (http://www.scad.edu/ ) went on to become pretty successful in the game industry.

Keep in mind however that about as many people get to work for Sony or Nintendo making games as people who make it into the NBA. Millions dream, a handful make it. Can you be as good of a game designer/programmer as NBA players are at basketball?
