If I was the Browns here is what I would do. Draft Adrian Peterson 1st round pick then here is what they really should do. Since Charlie Frye can't get the job done and Troy Smith is projected lated 3rd round. Why doesnt Cleveland draft him 2nd pick and the rest of the picks draft some defense. Anyone agree.

I really don't see the Browns drafting a QB at all. If Charlie Frye can't get the job done, Derek Anderson appears to be a solid number one since he only had that one bad game against Tampa Bay. I look for them to pick either DE Alan Branch (6'6, 324lbs.) of Michigan to eventually replace Ted Washington or OT Joe Thomas (best OL in draft) out of Wisconsin. In the second round they then could draft a RB (many good ones available in the draft) such as bruising Michael Bush (6'2", 243lbs.) out of Louisville or Ohio States Antonio Pittman (a 4.40, 40yd speedster). Any of these moves will definitely improve the team.

If he's available, and I'm the Browns, I'd take Calvin Johnson. A receiver like that would make Charlie Frye much better than he is right now. If they can move up, they should take JaMarcus Russell, because he's better than Frye with or without Calvin Johnson. Peterson is a thought because they signed Jamal Lewis for 1 year, and with him, that could equate to about 10 games, so you need a great backup to ensure the pressure wont be totally on your passing game with a young QB.

Let me start with my "browns backers" membership number... ok, now that weve gotten that outta the way this years draft.

lets start with what we know.

1. Browns have more needs than draft picks.

2. Cleveland Coach Crennell worked with Notre Dame Coach Weis and earned a couple of rings together in New England. Its safe to say the two coaches have spoken at length about Quinn.

3. Recently Signed RB Jamal Lewis commited for ONE year.

4. The Browns have resinged one offensive lineman and added 3 others.

5. The QB position is wide open. If anyone can remember a few years back when Phillip Rivers was brought into San Diego to replace an failing Drew Brees, what year was that? Thats right, his third year in the league and he BROKE out!

6. Another 4-12 or 6-10 year could be the end of Romeo.

7. In all of his infinate wisdom Butch took Gerrard Warren ahead of LT. Before that, Butch's Browns selected William Green two rounds before Clinton Portis.

Sooooooooo, i think thats about does it for the info. Now heres what i think they should do. Round 1 pick A. Peterson and pair him with the other two first round guys Winslow and Edwards. This allows Cleveland and A.Peterson some transition time since they have Lewis on board for one year. Round 2 is a tough one to pick, because nobody knows whos gonna be there. Id say to look for an offensive tackle such as T.Ugoh from Arkansas, Guard B.Grubbs from Auburn, or Versitile G/T combo J.Blaylock from Texas. However dont be surprised if the Browns find a gem that falls to them near the top of round 2. Keep an eye out for DE/DT J.Harrell from Tennessee. Also look out for falling DB's since that area has been destroyed the last two years by injuries. Lastly, i'll go over round 3 where some people believe T.Smith will be livin not so large. After all, hes not so large. He needs a special offense for his special tallents. I.E. Pitt and their uses for Randel El and H.Ward. Browns have much greater needs. Again You could get a Daymeion Hughes from Cal in round 3 as well as a solid DT/Nose.

Then again, there is a reason why im home typing on my computer instead of actually picking.

When you look at the Browns draft needs, you can't sum it all up with one pick. In free agency, they have done a mediocre job, but nothing incredible. Jamal Lewis and Erin Steinbach will help, but won't make them a playoff team.

With the 3rd pick, most players will be there in the draft. I think they'll take Adrian Peterson. They lost Droughns, and won't want Jamal Lewis to be their feature back. They could take Calvin Johnson to pair with Braylon Edwards, but without a running game, their passing game won't go anywhere. Peterson has been criticized the last couple of weeks for his upright running style. That won't matter and the Browns will take him at number 3.

I think that the Browns should take AP in the first rounds, unless for some reason Joe Thomas is available at #3.

Doesn't matter how good the RB is if the O-line sucks, besides if the y can get JT with #3 then Michael Bush should be available for their second pick

I like your thinking. I think the Brown should do that, since they traded Reuben Droughns, and since they need a QB, bad. And you never know what kind of talent you can get in the late rounds. Zach Thomas (LB, Miami) and Tom brady (QB, new england) were both drafted in the 5th round or later.

The likelyhood of that happening isn't that good though, since many teams are looking for a boost at the QB position. I don't know if the Browns can land both of those prospects. They could probably get one though.

That's f*cking rediculous. Troy Smith is not worth a first round pick, period. You can draft him in the later rounds. You can't draft a palyer like Adrian Peterson in the later rounds. I got two words for you, Tom Brady.

Curry would be my decision yet I doubt he would be obtainable. Jenkins isn't properly well worth the 5th %.. Orakpo would be a good decision. so as which ability they're going to take Crabtree. I purely desire along with his undesirable foot he would not develop into omit Crabtree (who by using ways became warm, Google her). I doubt that they had bypass with between the super time offensive tackles, that makes too lots experience for a set that may not be in a position to score an offensive landing, any of the super call OT's would be a good %. at 5, different than the fool from Alabama.

Disagree.

First pick is good. But on the 2nd pick there going to draft best available.

They've done a great job in free agency.
