I'm looking for suggestions of a house plant that is colorful and preferably a size that will allow me to sit it on my kithen counter. Any suggestions?

If your kitchen counter got a good light but not direct sunlight, I would try orchids. I've seen some and they are really nice and beautiful. Good luck!

Something easily maintained with white lily type flowers - peace lily. They have the ability to grow large, but can be easily maintained.

Another option is to have a plant such as an English Ivy, but instead of putting it in a regular pot, you could use a VERY colorful pot to draw color to the area.

Whatever plant you use I'm sure it will look great. Good luck.

(by the way, Clematis C A N N O T be grown inside - it is NOT a houseplant)

U should try a variegated pothos plant the leaves on this plant come in greens yellows and white variegated the leaves are kinda heart shape it's a creeper so you occasionally have to trim it back. This plant is easy to grow it doesn't need alot of light another great plant is the peace lily but you need a little height for that one but it has long green leaves and it blooms in white pods it's another great plant that is low maintenance.
