Ok...I work in a really small office. We only have 6 employess so we really have to work WITH each other. Our Accountant is an alcholic. Who will tell you he has a problem & needs help, and then change his mind & decide he doesn't. He tells me ALL of his business...too much in fact. His girlfriend will call me & ask advice about him & one of her kids that worked her briefly. Now I'll admit, at first I tried to help...my fault. After a while I became resentful. This is where I work, I don't come here to listen to everyone who works her & their girlfriend, and her kids problems...so now I ignore all of them. I am polite but I do not respond to extra conversation. I do my work.
Well...I get an email asking for a donation to help them help a family member who had an operation. I am just seething with anger...I don't know what to say or how to respond. Am I supposed to emotionally & now financially support the whole dang family?? I haven't seen my co worker yet but what do I say?
