I guess I'm just tired of this life....
Corrupt management at my work
Surrounded by evil/mean/nasty people
Not sure what I want to major in // undecided career choice
Parents are divorced..and now we're having to move
Financial issues
I'm balding
Sickly fair skin

I look around me, and see all of these lucky people with their lucky lives, beautiful faces, and smiling faces. Should I try the anti-depressant route...just numb all of this pain?

A question for a question:

Is your life really so awful that you want to leave behind those you love? Even if you don't love them, what about those who love you?
This might not appeal to you, but I suggest you take up nature activities and search for the beautiful things out there. I know this too is work, but if you do it, maybe you'll see that life is something to be glad about, not want to get rid of. Besides, and possibly people say this a lot - others are much worse than you. I can think of at least two people right now - two relatives and, also, a friend who could have been depressed and miserable forever, but decided to move on and is happy with life now.

ok stop! that's your problem right there the way your thinking. It shouldn't matter to you what other people look like and DON'T compare yourself to them. This whole world is corrupt put that shouldn't have any effect on you. The majoring part do what makes you happy, like for me drawing is a hobby but it's what makes me happy. Parents divorced don't let it get to you that's their life that's what they chose. Financial issues everybody has that so don't worry just help out as much as possible. You're balding so what just shave the rest of your hair off and it may just look good on you. Sickly fair skin I have that problem too, but still just try products and see if they work, but besides that not everybody's lucky they all most likely think the way you're thinking you just don't see it. So don't compare yourself to others, just try to live life to your fullest and don't kill yourself that just makes more people suffer.

Yes you should try anti depressants, and also get yourself an exercise program and some sun on the face.

Gotta think positive the best you can. Most everything you mentioned can be changed or good can still come from it.

How would you like to be paralyzed from the neck down like some people? You might find out if you jump off the bridge.

Things are not as they seem. People have a way of putting on an act. If you find that life is too overwhelming try giving up that lifestyle for a while.
Leave everything and move to the country. Learn to live on very little. Learn not to need anything.
It is a better alternative than taking your life.

Right.

Outside, I look gorgeous, great voice, musical as well as writing and drawing talent. Highly intelligent. Aparently good in bed as well.

Fecking enough to make anyone jealous.

I'm in a dead-end job working for a boss who thinks she's fecking brilliant and loves to look down on people just to make herself - personally - feel better. Money issues, don't earn enough, loads of debts, never had a perfectly normal relationship in my entire life. Have been abused more than once. Had to move 4 times in only one year because of various reasons.

DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT BECAUSE PEOPLE LOOK HAPPY, THAT THEY REALLY ARE???? Stop being so fecking hypocritical. You're not the only one who has a hard time.

AND I'M STILL FECKING GOING!!! (After nearly 5 years living like this.)

No!! You should absolutely Not jump off of a bridge or do anything else that can end your life or leave you in a permanent vegetative state! You are obviously feeling very overwhelmed with all that is going on with you and your life. And I'm not a therapist, but moving to a different place can bring on many sad feelings in and of itself as moving to a different house and location can feel like a type of loss like the loss of a loved one or loss of a job, and then you have the other issues such as your job that seems as though you are very unhappy working at to say the least and coworkers that are mean and evil while also dealing with your parents getting a divorce. Parents getting a divorce is another type of loss. It is ok to feel like you have so much hanging over you right now, but suicide is Never the answer!!

Don't worry about your being undecided about your college major right now. Please do start taking better care of yourself, first by talking to a licensed therapist about your feelings of depression and being overwhelmed with everything. I happen to have anxiety and depression and take Prozac Weekly (the time released prozac) and while it doesn't actually 'numb' out the pain, it does help to regulate the chemical imbalance in my brain of the neurotransmitter, serotonin. Prozac is one of the ssri's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) medications just as paxil and zoloft are. And I get the medication prescribed by a psychiatrist as they are much more trained and versed in the proper dosage and right type of med for their patient as opposed to a family dr, just fyi.

Please don't get fooled by other people's seemingly perfect lives :) I've learned to 'never judge a book by its cover' as cliche and trite as that may sound ;) Everyone has their own demons and past trauma. You will be fine though you just have a lot on your plate right now. If you have to take some time off from school to get yourself well, please find out about how to take a leave of absence so that you can get some outside treatment and be able to put aspects of your life into perspective. Please take good care and be well.

P.S. Please talk to your family dr about your 'sickly' looking fair skin. He or she may want to rule out a vitamin deficiency or such. Please do take good care of yourself :)

The anti-depressant route, IMHO, is a farse. It is a mask. Nothing can change the world around you, except you. I grew up mentally and physically abused by a step father. My real father left when I was 3 and I've never seen him since. I bounced around jobs, never went to college...never seemed to have any luck. I was along the same route as you.

Everyone around me had 'great' lives. 'Great' bodies. They seemed to have it all. What I figured out was all the smoke and mirrors people use to hide their real lives. The 'great' successful business guy who back-stabbed to get his career jumping. The guy with the 'great' body who used anabolics. Then, I decided I could do it better. Without any idiocy. It took a long time. I was 32 when I figured out what I wanted to do with my life. I found a passion. Something that no one could take from me. I learned my profession in "record" time and even world tragedy didn't alter my actions. I visualized what I wanted out of life.

I've pretty much got it. I decided to get it for myself. To take it for myself. Its all a mindset. No drug is going to do that for you. YOU have to decide. That's all. Change in your life literally takes place the instant you decide to change.

i feel the same way as you, xept im about half ur age proabably. so in my case it might just be growing up. i agree though, its horrible to look around and see all these smiling faces and think 'gosh they're lucky they have a great life'. i think you should just try taking up a hobby, like music. you might consider getting some help for it too. like a therapist.

If you compare yourself with those better off, you will become bitter. Focus on becoming a better YOU. This life might be all there is, so make the best of what you have. Hey, if you're at the bottom all roads lead upward.
