I was raped and decided to keep my baby. Since I'm pregnant with a rapists baby or my ex "friend" should I bother to have a baby shower?

I'm so sorry that something terrible happened to you! But since you've decided to keep your baby, there will be some joy and happiness to come out of a terrible situation.
By all means should you celebrate the birth of your baby. A shower is perfectly appropriate. All babies deserve joy and love surrounding them and your baby is no less deserving of anticipation and celebration than anyone elses.
A shower may also help you focus on the joy that is being brought to you.
Again, I'm so sorry about the situation that caused your pregnancy, but I really do feel that since you've already decided to continue with the pregnancy, that you should celebrate it just as much as anyone else.

Yes!! Good for you, for keeping the baby! If I were you I would have a shower... just invite your side of the family, and any close friends and co-workers you have. Just because the father is obviously not a great person, you should still celebrate your baby! good luck!

It's your son/daughter now and your family, not a result of a rape. Once you made the decision to keep your baby you made him/her your family. Love him/her and treat him the way you would your planned son/daughter. Your life will run more smoothly and be more enjoyable if you disassociate the child and the bad experience. Please remember at all times that this child has nothing to do with what that person did to you. He/she is innocent and an empty slate to learn, love and be loved. You wouldn't NOT throw Baby a first birthday party would you?

baby shower has nothing to do with the father. no matter how u concieved.
of course you should have one.
get stuff u need for the baby.
you are very brave. congratulations your child will be a blessing.
