In a way it would be OK as it would cut down on the actual amount of legislation passed. But realistically it would be expensive and impossible to implement on a national scale. Just think, how fast could we mobilize a national election to approve emergency funding for storm damage relief the next time a Katrina like storm hits?

Nope. Wouldn't work. That's a Direct Democracy, and as is, while that would certainly eliminate much of the irritating beurocracy, it just isn't feasible for a country of 300,000. Imagine everyone in the nation being a member of Congress every single day

You must live in a city...a big city...because it would be to your benefit that city thinking would motivate all the laws. You could sit in your apartment and ban...like...you know...guns and stuff.
