SVU and ER.
They depict real life, and not stupid nonsense.

The show that I enjoy the most at this time is The Apprentice. I do prefer when Carolyn and George were trump's sidekicks or 'eyes and ears' shall we say, but I still don't miss an episode.
I also watch other 'reality' shows such as America's Next Top Model, mtv's Juvies about teens who may face jail time and gets a talking to from an awesome female justice, and the new Pussycat Doll search show. I know, a reality show 'junkie' but the ones that perhaps one can learn a bit from while helping the viewer to forget her own set of problems ;) I still do watch American Idol as well.

Now or ever?
I don't think that there are many shows around today that compare to some of the 90's sitcoms.
I think that two of my favorite shows of all time are Friends and Seinfeld.
If I had to pick one of today's shows, I'd have to say Gilmore Girls. It has dramatic aspects to it, but it's also really funny and the characters are relatable.
