My daughter wants to raise bunnies for our local 4-H chapter. She's very young and so I want to be sure to get bunnies that will do well with little people. Any suggestions?

Long haired or the Angora bunnies are the best. They are
good with kids. some are small to medium size in breed. They are work and someone will need to supervise. They eat alfalfa and like vegtables. I would go to Petco.com or visit the nearest pet store, they should have all that information. I like rabbits, but if size is an issue, try the teddy bear hamsters.

I have raised many different breeds of rabbits. The best ones around my kids were the Netherland Dwarfs. They are really smart and can be paper trained. But they are gentle and will put up with small children. Some of the larger breeds tend to be snippy when they get messed with.

Dwarf or Lop are my favorite!

Mini Lop and Dwarf are pretty small so it may be easier.

I'm trying to get a Dwarf bunny that can fit in an adult's hand and she's 3 years old.
