If both Peterson and Lynch are gone when the Pack picks in the 1st round they will definitly hold off until a later round to get another RB. There are about 5 second-tier RB's that Green Bay will be able to draft in either the 2nd or 3rd round including Leonard, Pittman, Hunt and a few others. I'm not sure that they should be starters in the NFL, but they will be there.
As for the 1st round pick, I think Greg Olsen, TE is the guy they'd want most if they can't get a RB. He is probably the only TE worth taking on the first day. At WR, Robert Meachem or Ted Ginn Jr. might be good options...although I think they would prefer Ginn because of his speed and ability to be a returner as well.
I think they could also use some help on the O-line....on the off chance that either Thomas or Brown fall to 16 Green Bay should be all over them.

I would take a TE because they lost one to free agency and if Franks is not the same as he was a couple of years ago, I think a TE is a must especially for a greater production in the red zone . Favre needs more targets than Driver if the Packers are to be effective and be a better team. Anyway thay can get a WR possibly in free agency if Thompson gets off his butt and tries to do something for a change. A RB is a necessity for the 2nd round because f the loss of Ahman Green. The Packers need another RB for the future to be brighter as well.

I agree! Playmakers are needed at WR, TE and RB. The team particularly lacks a big receiver who can be a red zone threat. Bubba Franks appears to be finished, so the Pack need a TE who can split the safeties and free up space for the wideouts. I think they will choose a WR in the first round, probably either Dwayne Bowe of LSU who would fit their offense perfectly because he is a big 3rd down and red zone threat, or speedy (4.39, 40) Robert Meachem of Tennessee, who has great hands. In the 2nd Round there will be good TEs still available and they should go after either (6'5", 256lbs.) Zach Miller of Arizona State or (6'7", 270lbs.) Scott Chandler of Iowa. Either one of these TEs will fit into their offense.

Yes they should take a TE if theres a good one available because they seriously need to address that position. I think if it looks like Lynch will get snagged the Packers will trade up they actually seem committed to giving Favre a chance this year.
Also I think they should pick up Corey Dillion... he still has a lot of juice left in him... he might not be able to play every down but can be very effective splitting carries with a rookie (see hes stats last year).

If they are both gone (likely scenario), they should take a WR. I like one of the Dewaynes going to Green Bay (Bowe or Jarrett) Talented backs such as Michael Bush and Garrett Wolfe will be available in round 2. This is a great draft for WR/HB's

That is an interesting thaught, but I think if that were to happen, we'd take Kenny Irons. He is a solid player. If we were to take a WR or TE they would have to be better than him or be capable of making a bigger impact. Right now that RB slot is where we need an impact player.

I doubt that will happenbut however, if that really happens, you can get Ted Ginn Jr. and get Michael Bush at the second round.....

work on the defense or offensive line in the first round. grab tony hunt in the second round. he's not flashy but will complement a smaller shiftier back. tony hunt will be great to grind out yards when you need them.

Im from New York, but I think the Packers are one of the most ridiculous teams in the nfl. First of all... what kind of a team name is the "Packers?" We already know they are smelly old cheese brains and (Can't even pack their own lunch). Brett Farve WAS a great quarterback but know he is just a plain old cut off.
