how do 2 bettas mate if they always fight ?i have 2 and the boy always puffs up at her

fighting is very violent also and if you don't study first one or both could end up hurt or even dead. it's not as simple as putting them in a tank together, in the wild the females seek out a male to mate, if they find a male the male tries to court her by nipping at her, if she doesn't like him she'll just swim away, however in a tank she can't swim away so the breeder needs to know what they're doing.
