(10 hrs.away) They smoked pot the whole way down, in the hotel room and the whole way back. My hubby doesn't do drugs and was freaked out the whole time. I thought my hubby should tell the owner- Not cool he said. The manager makes bank and does hardly anything while- my hubby works his @-- off. I want to write an anonymous letter to the owner and tell him whats going on. What would you guys do- please don't tell me to mind my own business.

im not sure if a letter would do anything, but there is no reason for your husband to not go to the owner of the company and bring up whats going on. he has the leverage here. he could easily go to the police and have the entire business shut down most likely. or at least have all the offending empoyees prosecuted. if they dont want to deal with the law, they will accomodate him. and if he is fired or threatened with being fired for bringing this up, he can sue big-time.

just tell him to have some guts and go talk to the man in charge.

People realy should ask first, or slowly feel their way in if someone is cool with it or not. I always know if the people or person I am around is cool with weed or not. Its against the unwritten laws of stoner ethics to do what these people are doing. If they realy are not efficient workers, and are making educated pot heads look bad, I would not tell the cops, but I would make sure they were replaced by other workers. If those guys are lazy and stupid, and just sitting around, they should be fired for that, not for choosing to toke. The people he works with are obviously complete imbiciles.

I would encourage your husband to get another job as soon as possible. This is a terrible work envirnoment. I personally wouldn't send a letter to the boss until your husband is safely out of the picture. Since he is the only one not involved with the pot, he is bound to be seen as the informer. Who knows how his co-worker would react.
That old law of physics: for every act there is a reaction; example, you throw a ball against a wall, it bounces back. The same is true is social relations. Consider the reactions and act accordingly.

If you write a letter, everyone will know it is related to your husband...
You really need to let your husband handle it, he is a grown man.

Maybe he can approach the boss and mention that his business trip was not handled by other employees in a professional manner, and that those employees are involved in illegal behaviors.
He can say that he will not name names, but that if he is going to continue working for this company (which he enjoys, of course) that he needs to have a safer and more legal working environments.

Just a suggestion

i think you should write the letter just think of it this way if a police officer comes in or someones calls them and your husband is there he will also get arrested and if he had been around them while they are smoking it it will be in his system and he could get in trouble also. If you don't want them to know it was you make sure to use a different name and address on the envelope or just drop it off after hours and slip it under the door or in his mailbox at home.
