Okay. I need you to put yourself in my shoes. You LOVE animals. Especially horses and riding. You have the option of going to an equestrian camp for the summer, where you'll ride 3 hours a day( lessons, trails, swimming w/ horses), meet teens who have a passion for riding also, have extrordinary fun for two whole weeks (it's like owning a horse, your assighned one for the whole time your there, you need to groom him, bathe him, saddle him also, even muck his stall, and for someone who cant afford a horse but loves them, thats heaven!!!). Your dad is a little paranoid about this though. It's a sleep away camp and your a 15 y/o girl. He has given you the option of trading those two weeks for two cats. You've been trying to own one cat (the ragdoll breed) since you were 8 y/o but your family hates them. Now you could trade two weeks for two cats. One option is two weeks of nonstop fun or two cats for 15 years. I can't seem to decide. I've wanted both of these for a long time.

would you rather have fun for two weeks and then spend the rest of the year wanting to go back or wake up every morning to two little bundles of fun. personally i would go with the cats. i love horses to but i'd rather have the love of a cat every day. see if you can get a job with horses in your area. even if it is just feeding and watering them it would still fit with your love of horses. i did that for one summer.

Wow... ok, see if your dad will compromise with you. Tell him you will take the cats if he will agree on letting you go on a trail ride (you can pay by the hour, day or a overnight camping trip at most riding stables). Tell him he can go riding with you to see how you do and then maybe he will let you go next summer. Horses at camps and riding stables are very well trained for there jobs and if your a beginner rider then they will give you the horse that suites you best. They also make you wear helmets for you own protection... Good Luck!!!

Oh, wow. What a choice. I would probably pick the two cats. You will have other opportunities as you get older to trail ride with horses, etc. Although you may never get the type of exposure this camp would give you. I sympathize - that's a really tough choice you've been given. My kitties provide hours of fun - just watching them sleep is really cool. I find them fascinating. So, yeah, I'd pick the cats.

I love animals too, and i rode horses for 6 years.. but i say take the cats... i mean, you can always ride a horse another time, and maybe do the camp next summer. i've always wanted a cat, but my mom thinks the dog would eat it! if i finally got the chance to get a cat, i'd deffanitly take it! the camp is two weeks, but the cats are yours for a long time! once you have a cute cat of your own, i think it would be totally worth it.
