Halo 2 doesn't work on Xbox Live?

Question

I have a 360, and Halo 2 failed to connect and find games to join. I tried playing Gears of War, and I managed to join a game. Why can't I join a Halo 2 game?

I know this does work but try downloading the software from xboxlive that lets you play all games and see if that works
