Geno Malking, or staalsy. they are definetly the two best rookies in the league hands down and i'll be happy to see either one win it. I saw an interview with malkin the other night and he said he wants to win it to prove that he's a legit play in the nhl. he said that he wants to win it for the team cuz ovechkin won it last year and he wants to prove that he's as good as him. my translation is this; he wants to win it for sid cuz sid got cheated out of the rookie award last year

for me the best rookie this year comes down to 2 players

Jordan Staal and Paul Stastny both have produced regardless of who they play with.

Malkin on the other hand has been overshadowed by young Staal. It's hard for me to say that Malkin has been the best rookie in the league when he's not even the best rookie on his team.

Paul Stastny ( spelling...?) is without a doubt the most improved rookie of the year, but to win the award, id give it to Anze Kopitar, he deserves it!!!

However, the rookie that seems like hes not a rookie and i vote to be the smartest rookie, is travis Zajac!! Hes helped the Devils A lot in Their Great Success this season!!!!

Malkin has been the best, but that was expected.

Most suprising Stastny. This kid is great and is throwing his numbers up playing Center on the second line behind Sakic.

Staal is looking good himself, but needs a bit more development. There is something to be said for having some assists not just goals.

Staal. the kid gets very little ice time but is still the league leader in Shorthanded goals. He's just plain incredible.

Penguins = Malkin....BY FAR!!!

It pains me as a Rangers fan but this kid is an amazing talent.

He's the "Jagr" to Crosby's "Lemieux"

I'm going to go against the grain and say Backstrom. Fernandez has been out awhile and he has kept them going strong.
