i might get a wii and i was wondering if i should wait for maybe colours for the wii. and i heard they will play dvd's eventually. also i heard there having some problems. should i get it now or later??

I'd get it now. When they add the colors and a dvd player the price will go up. You can buy skins for the Wii and change the way it looks. I have one and it has a custom made skin that I ordered online. I love my Wii.

As much as I wouldn't mind having one, I heard that they were a supped up impulse buy, and not worth the dollar that they are demanding initially.
I think I still will buy one the second that I have the money laying around... but I have decided that (for me) the money needs to be sitting around before I'll buy one... in other words I am not going to put money aside for it, but rather find one at a really good price along my journeys online.
I can't tell you in good conscious to wait though, because the PS 2 I have would have twice as many features if I would have bought the original... The later the model of the PS, the more they stripped the extras off of it (like the USB ports and the Firewire Ports).... blah blah blah...
Right place at the right time friend... newer isn't better always and for real... who cares what color it it? Even if my buddy bought a cream-pink one I still would be over the next day to play it.

well i have a wii (had it since launch date :D) and have had no problems whatsoever with it. its an amazing console.
as far as the dvd is concerned, the games are on dvd's atm and so all that would be required is new firmware to the wii.
with the colour, its entirely up to you, i love the white and blue. but you can also get skins with various colours.
my verdict, if you have the money, get it now. an amazing piece of electronics and just at the right time, all the decent games are just coming out.

Just get it now because.........
The DVD players you heard about can be on the wii u get now because they sent a program to wii that you can download, when you download it, it shows up as the dvd player on the wii channels screen. So it doesnt matter about DVD because you will get it either way. And the different colors are about 1 year far away from realesing.
