Easter, as we all know was the rising of Christ. To give Children another way of celebrating, the Easter Bunny was brought into it. That we also know as only a fun thing for the kids. We do, I hope, teach our childer the truth about all Holidays as they come and go, just as we were taught when we were children.

It's called commercialism. People think easter eggs over jesus when it comes to easter like it or not.

because Christians have been brain washed into believing that a pagen goddess of fertility called easter had something to do with the cleansing of their sins-- come on people read your Bibles the apostles did not celebrate easter- they kept the Passover- He was the Lamb of God- and it is not a Jewish Holiday it is Gods holiday that He gave to all of Israel!!! all 12 tribes not just Judah!!! some of you a going - what is she talking about- those of you that are-- read your Bibles!!!!!!!

These....is wrong. There was no Easter before Jesus. Unfortunately, much of our society has forgotten the reason we celebrate Easter. Jesus' resurrection. God bless you.

Also for many Christians, to discuss Christ in this forum would put them open to more ridicule, and also mocking of Jesus, so we might not be wanting to cast our pearls before swine, so to speak.
