Men Teams-China(Host nation) Spain (2006 World Champions)-Other 10 teams have to still qualify.
Women- China (host nation) Australia (2006 World Champions)

they play basketball in the Olympics during the summer games the teams are not all known yet but the host country's team is an automatic lock so at least china the returning champions the team that won the world cup and the best remaining teams which includes the us Italy Germany etc/'/

in the summer and the sad thing is that the US team may not even qualify for the Olympics, that would be tragic
