I like wooden floors but not laminate. Wooden is nice but laminate won't create the same effect as solid wood it's like plastic cups instead of lead crystal glasses, so if it's between laminate and carpet...Carpet.

I ripped out the carpet in the living room and dining room and put in laminate flooring.
